Hey all,
While I have a moment of clarity at 6.45am (I’m jet lagged in rainy San Diego visiting the fam), I’m composing a newsletter for all you last minute gift givers out there…

😌 That feeling of security that comes with knowledge
💪 A sense of self-reliance knowing you can use your hands and understand your bike a bit better than before
🌊 And smug warm fuzzies for helping LBK navigate choppy disaster capitalist seas
In a small bit of good news, LBK friend Sal and their co-defendant Gamze have been found not guilty for their peaceful protest. The #BALFOUR2 had been taken to court for squirting ketchup/catsup (same god, diff path), and supergluing their hands to a chunk of stone designed to represent a meddling instigator of genocide. Since the UK govt’s new Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 has been in place, the right to protest has been in limbo. [I would have used an Oxford comma after ‘sentencing’ but whatevs.] One hopes that this unanimous not guilty verdict will set a precedent despite the government’s repeated attempts to silence the public. Like I said in previous newsletters - the courts represent one of the final fronts where we can defeat those attempting power grabs.
And also, direct action works - see Palestine Action’s other recent wins here.
Wishing you a Happy Solstice everyone.
Much love,
Jenni x
